Not even a week has passed after Manny Pacquiao and the newly hailed CNN Hero of the Year Efren Peñaflorida brought pride to our country, that a gruesome massacre once again tarnished the Filipino people’s reputation at such a time as this, when the country braces for the national elections. And if there is any group of people who should feel a heightened sense of indignation, it should be the Biblical Patriots. 
Our very own beloved Senior Pastor, being a servant of the Lord in a Christian statement, expressed his indignation and anger against the perpetrators of the senseless killings at Maguindanao, as well as his frustration against the government’s repealing of the death penalty 3 years ago, which could have significantly prevented this atrocious act against our fellow countrymen. A lawmaker himself, he was there when the law imposing the death penalty for heinous crimes was repealed, thus exposing the country to dangerous threats from the evil elements lurking all around the metropolis.
in front of us a tragedy that didn’t even happen in the urban areas of our nation’s prime cities. This latest crime was committed in a place where political power supremacy is something that clans would fight and die for, cheat for and even kill for. Sadly, the victims of this political tug-of-war were innocent civilians. Thus, tomorrow, the BIBLEMODE will be leading the Prayer and Fasting Walk, not just to intercede for the nation, but also to cry out and manifest our condemnation against this latest atrocity against the more than 40 women, children, members of the media, and other people who were killed senselessaly in Maguindanao. All those who will be joining tomorrow’s walk should come in blue, but can also wear the black shirt that has a print of our clamor for the re-imposing of the death penalty for heinous crimes. Unless the Biblical patriots of this country stand up, unite, and call upon the Lord for His hedge of protection upon this nation, we might just wake up one day living in a bloodthirsty society that does not fear and recognize the rule of law.
