Some companies and firms take some time off after they finish a busy stretch of activities, and just before they move on to the next set of tasks to be done.
Not the case for the MBBC.
Barely a week will pass after the first day of January, our MBBC works will begin a new line up of big events and schedules that will surely keep every faithful members’ hands full, just on the first 31 days of the year alone.
On January 10 to 12, our church is set to host the biggest gathering of Biblical Baptist pastors, second men, workers and leaders yet—the 2012 BIBLEMODE National Pastors’ Conference.
Our beloved pastor has been emphasizing this since June this year, telling our BIBLEMODE pastors the crucial importance of this gathering that will kick off the League’s year-long preparations, particularly for their political goals in the next two years.
With the theme “Bayan Ko Mahal Ko: A Legacy Of Biblical Patriotism,” the BIBLEMODE Conference of 2012 aims at laying down the concrete plans and targets of the League in putting up Godly and righteous leaders in government. The preparations are very important, as it will be the year just before mid-term elections of 2013, where we have a strong chance of landing morally upright servants that will help change the landscape of politics in the country. Our very own beloved pastor, aspiring for a seat in congress, will be awaiting the results of the one million signature campaign that the churches have been rallying since the middle of this year. He has repeated time and again that unless the target of 1 million be reached, he will not run for a national position. Meetings and gatherings all over the country have been set by our pastors in line with this preparation, hoping that the desired number of signatures will be achieved by the end of the conference.
A full week will pass, and the MBBC is bracing yet again for the second annual conference that it hosts—the Annual Cheerful Giving Conference.
The BP has made an announcement that the firstfruits that will be gathered this year will be used as funds for our senatorial run on 2013, as well as some acquisitions of properties for the MBBC.
Just recently two doors were opened to the MBBC for property purchases. As of this moment, the church is bent on buying the 540 sq.m. property adjacent to our church property, pegged at roughly 13 million. The BP has long been praying for the property, which the owner had once adamantly denied for sale. It was just October of this year that the door of opportunity opened, at a time when another property’s prospect of buying was getting dim.
The church is looking forward to seeing a larger goal for firstfruits this year among all our local and foreign congregations. This 2011, the church was able to give 19 million in first fruits offerings.
So brace yourselves, MBBC’ians for a busy yet very fulfilling set of activities when we usher in the new year!
