The Metropolitan Ministries all over the world welcome the coming of the new year with a simultaneous New Year’s Day Sunrise Service today at 6AM here in the Philippines (2AM in our Middle East Congregations, 9AM in Perth, 5PM the day before in Toronot).
Our beloved pastor Dr. Benny Abante, Jr., will be leading the service this morning, which will also be broadcast live in our congregations abroad via internet livestream. Our brethren in the middle east will be staying up from 10PM there (2AM here) to welcome the new year, until two in the morning to catch the live webcast here in the Philippines.
Also this morning, our congregation preachers will be delivering their respective State of Congregation addresses, where the will provide the local reports of the growth of their congregations in the past year. A comparison between the results of 2010 and 2011 will also be given to determine how much our congregations have grown.
Later tonight, our beloved pastor will be leading in the delivery of the State of the Church Address, done annually as a report of what the Lord has graciously done to all of our MBBC works in 2011. our congregations abroad will be sending their respective reports as well as to how God has blessed them in their localities.
The BP will also take time to recognize the top cheerful givers of our church for 2011. It was last year that the BP started recognizing the list of the faithful men and women of our church who consistently and faithfully gave in all areas of cheerful giving. With the prospect of buying new properties and other facilities for our church this year, the BP hopes to encourage the members to give cheerfully more this year than in 2011.
Also featuring tonight will be official unveiling of the annual theme of the MBBC in 2012: PRESENTING OURSELVES IN 2012 FOR HIS CHURCH AND COUNTRY!
Right off the bat the church is prepping up for a full load of schedules this January. 9 days from now we will be hosting the largest gathering of pastors in our BIBLEMODE National Pastors’ Conference on the 10th up to the 12th. And within just a week, the church will have its yearly Cheerful Giving Conference, where our people are preparing to commit the largest firstfruits commitment in MBBC History!
