Every year, our beloved pastor takes a personal time out, not to rest, but to focus his mind and heart on what God has in store for His church for the coming year. This year, the Lord has impressed upon the heart of our pastor this theme for 2012: PRESENTING OURSELVES IN 2012 FOR HIS CHURCH AND COUNTRY.

The theme is based on the verse found in Isaiah 54:2, where its says, “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;”

This year, our beloved pastor and the entire MBBC Ministries is embarking on what is easily her biggest endeavor ever in seeing more of God’s people being involved in serving Him through the church, as well as effecting Biblical change in our country. From January all the way to December of 2012, our monthly emphases will zero in on timeless Bible-based principles about what it means for God’s people to present themselves in service to God for His church and country.

Our Sunday School lessons this year will feature a thorough study of the life and times of Bible figures and notable individuals whose example of service to God and country are worth emulating by God’s people of today.

Here are the themes of the month for the MBBC this year:

January: The Biblical Patriots
February: The Biblical Givers
March: The Biblical Major Prophets
April: The Biblical Minor Prophets
May: The Biblical Women
June: The Biblical Lovers
July: The Biblical Leaders
August: The Seven Churches (part 1)
September: The Seven Churches (part 2)
October: Synopsis of the Gospels
November: The Book of James
December: The Story of Christ’s Birth

We praise God for the wisdom He has given our beloved pastor in planning out these lessons. Let’s all look forward to a great time of learning and growth with this year’s theme!
